HC directs the police not to harass Homoeopaths

          CHENNAI.MAR.9: The Madras High court directed the police not to harass Homoeopathy doctors in reference to a Writ petitioned filed by the Secretary Dr.Rajinikant representing the Indian Homoeopathic Medical Graduates association. Recently the Government directed the Department of Health and Family welfare to initiate action against the quacks. The action also involved registered homoeopaths. The incidents involving Homoeopathic clinics and few FIRs launched for practicing allopathic Medicines.

         The petition came for hearing before Honourable Justice. T. S. Sivagnanam and disposed with following direction that already similar and identical cases were filed before Madurai bench of this court and disposed that Indian medical association is a guild association and any professional misconduct committed by other medical profession governed by other systems of Medicine, they can make complaints to their professional bodies concerned. The writ petition closed with the same direction and all other reliefs, sought for in the writ petition stand rejected.
