Bharati Vidyapeeth's Homoeopathic Medical College, Pune, Maharashtra
 

      

         Bharati Vidyapeeth's Homoeopathic Medical College was established on 10th May 1990, on the auspicious occasion of the Silver Jubilee Day of the Bharati Vidyapeeth. It was earlier affiliated to University of Pune upto 26th April 1996. It is now a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth deemed University.

        The Homoeopathic Medical College is located in Dhankawadi campus about 15km from railway station and 35 Km from airport. The college has a well designed building accommodates well-equipped laboratories, dissection halls, spacious demonstration halls and a library with a night reading hall facility. The College is recognized by the Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi from 1999 and its annual intake capacity of BHMS course is 100 students. It also has post graduate course under six specialties from 2006 with 30 seats.

        It has all the infrastructural facilities as specified by the norms of Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi. Faculty consists of senior teachers, who are experienced, enthusiastic and experts in their respective subjects and are student oriented. The college has been accredited as “Research & Development Center” by Dept. of AYUSH (ISH & M) Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Newdelhi as a part of Research activity under R & D center. The college has undertaken many research projects for which Govt. of India has sanctioned grants worth Rs. 25 lakhs. It is unique in the field of Homoeopathy which being constituent unit it has got second time status of ‘A’ Grade by NAAC, even ‘A’ Grade of MHRD, & recognized under 12(B) of UGC, Govt of India.

        The college has its own separate homoeopathic hospital of 32,000 sq. ft. with setup of 50 bed running IPD & OPD with exclusive homoeopathic treatment & training supported with own homoeopathic mobile clinic and ambulatory services at Urban & Rural peripheral centers within 25-30 km. distance. Urban & Rural camps are organized & conducted regularly at Yawat & Bhor every month since 1997.

        Dr.Arun B. Jadhav known for his academic and administrative services serves as the principal of the college and Dean of FOH, Member of council and State Health University, since 23 years.
