World Homeopathic Day at RGUHS

          BANGALORE.APR.30: The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka has observed World Homeopathic Day at its campus. Dr. Sriprakash, Vice Chancellor of RGUHS has welcomed the gathering. Hon’ble, Dr. H.R. Bhardwaj, the Governor of Karnataka was the Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, he stressed the relevance of homeopathy as the medicine of choice for common man, for its economy, efficacy and affordability. He was of the opinion that the future is bright for homeopathy as it is trending for the new age. He honoured Smt. Shantamma the mother of Dr. B.T Rudresh.

       To mark this occasion ‘Shri B.N. Thippeswamy and Smt. Shantamma Homoeopathy Day Endowment Lecture’ instituted by Dr. B.T. Rudresh in the memory of his parents was also conducted. Dr. B.T. Rudresh, President of Karnataka Homoeopathic Board requested the Governor to impress upon the Government of Karnataka to sanction one homeopathic dispensary for every taluka in the state. He spoke of the findings of a survey conducted by the Board that has brought forth the statistical documentation that nearly 10% of the population in Karnataka state are well disposed towards homeopathic system.

       Dr. D. Prem Kumar, Registrar of the University has proposed the vote of thanks. Around 800 homeopathic doctors, students and teachers from all over Karnataka has participated in the occasion.
