        A seventeen years old girl reported to us for treatment of large warts on dorsum of both hands which gradually increased in size.

Treatment History

    Patient applied many ointments like Mupiban, Maksol, Glowto, Nicotac and Podowart ointment on the advice of Dermatologist without any relief. The case was taken up and following rubrics were considered for selection of the medicine.

Medicine Selected

    Calcarea carbonica

First prescription                             12.8. 2011

    Calcarea carbonica 30 was prescribed weekly followed by placebo for 4 weeks. Photograph of dorsum of left hand was taken.

Follow Up 1                                        13.9.2011

    Large warts on dorsum of left hand much reduced. A few new tiny warts seen on dorsum of both hands and left forearm. Sweating on palms and soles remained as such. Calcarea carbonica 30 was repeated weekly followed by placebo for 4 weeks. Photograph of dorsum of left hand was taken.

Follow Up 2                                         17.10. 2011

    Warts on dorsum of left hand reduced. A few new tiny warts seen on dorsum of both hands and left forearm. Sweating on palms and soles remained as such. Calcarea carbonica 30 was repeated weekly followed by placebo for 4 weeks.

Follow Up 3                                        28.11.2011

    Warts on dorsum of left hand further reduced. A few new warts also seen. Placebo was repeated for 4 weeks.

Follow Up 4                                        18.1.2012

    Slow reduction in warts on dorsum of left hand. Sweating on palms and soles remained as such. Calcarea carbonica 30 was repeated weekly followed by placebo for 4 weeks. Photograph of dorsum of both hands was taken.

Follow Up 5                                         17.2.2012

    Warts on dorsum of left hand and sweating on palms and soles remained as such. Calcarea carbonica 200 single dose was prescribed followed by placebo for 2 weeks.

Follow Up 6                                        03.2.2012

    Warts on dorsum of left hand and sweating on palms and soles reduced. No new wart seen. Placebo was repeated for 8 weeks on different visits.

Follow Up 7                                         01.6.2012

    Warts on dorsum of left hand and sweating on palms and soles further reduced.
    Placebo was repeated for 4 weeks.

Follow Up 8                                         10.7. 2012

    Warts on dorsum of left hand almost subsided. Sweating on palms and soles much reduced. Calcarea carbonica 200 was repeated weekly followed by placebo for 4 weeks. Photograph of dorsum of both hands was taken.

    Patient is almost alright and still under follow up.
