Seminar on Nanotechnology perspective in Homoeopathy

          CALICUT.APR.10: A multi disciplinary workshop on Nanotechnology perspective in Homoeopathy- Characterization of homeopathic drug was held by the School of Nano Science and Technology at NIT Calicut. The function was chaired by the Dr.S.Chandra karan, Director in charge and inaugurated by the Dr.M.K.C. Nair, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Kerala University of Health Sciences. He pointed out that Homeopathic system of Medicine is getting a better environment for development by the formation of AYUSH department at central and state level. Dr.A.Nagarajan, Principal, Vinayaka Missions Homoeopathic Medical College, Salem and Dr. K.R .Janardhnan nair, Asst director, Central Research in Homoeopathy, Kottayam gave felicitation speech.


         Dr.Nanadakaumar Kalarikkal, Joint Director, international and inter University centre for Nano science and Technology, M.G university presented a paper on Nano technology perspective in medicine. He elaborated the role of Nano Science in advancement of the treatment, imaging process, medical devices, prevention of disease etc. Dr.Soney Varghese, Asst professor, School of Nano science and Technology, NIT Calicut and Dr.Abdurahiman, Research Guide, Vinayaka missions Homeopathic medical college, Salem presented the different aspects of present study. They emphasized the need of this type of study for the scientific approval of homeopathic system of medicine. This work shop was attended by delegates from different parts and included nano scientists, nano technologists, bio technologists, molecular scientists, veterinary doctors, homeopathic doctors, teachers and researchers in different disciplines. Active discussions were made and suggested that active steps have to be taken in this line for scientific upgradation of homoeopathy system of medicine by Governmental and non governmental agencies.
