Karnataka Minister declares 149 Government dispensaries

          BENGALURU.SEP.8: Hon’ble Shri. K.R. Ramesh Kumar, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka inaugurating a workshop organised by The Karnataka Board for Homoeopathic System of Medicine held at Dhanvanthry Auditorium, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences announced 149 Government dispensaries in Taluk Hospitals. The Minister also announced land to contract Homoeo Bhavan by the Karnataka Board for Homoeopathic System of Medicine transferring about 20 Guntas of Government land in the heart of Bangalore city
Earlier in his welcome address, Dr. B. T. Rudresh, the President of Karnataka Board for Homoeopathic System of Medicine, who is also Member of Executive Committee of the Central Council of Homeopathy, pleaded that the recent survey shows that 10% population uses Homoeopathy. There are 600 dispensaries for 1500 Ayurveda Doctors and only 40 dispensaries for 13,000 doctors He requested the Government to open 200 dispensaries at least.
Sri.T.N.Seetharam, Television Director, members of the Board, leading physicians participated. Around six hundred participants who represent academicians and practitioners spanning across the state, took active interest in the deliberations that followed. Forming four groups – Healthcare, Education & Research, Public Health and Popularisation – these doctors pooled their intellectual and emotional might in preparing a comprehensive Vision Document that was presented to the Principal Secretary for Health & Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka for further follow-up.
Dr. B. T. Rudresh has promised to follow-up on the assurances given by the Minister to take them to their logical resolution. He has also assured to get the suggestion made in the Vision Document included in the State Health Policy.

The venue is just adjustant to Government Homoeopathy Medical College
