Toxoplasmosis, Cysts Liver, renal, dermoid, ovarian, sub lingual and spermatic cord. All the above points are clinically verified. The hypersensitivity to water in any form makes Lyssin a wonderful remedy for Hydrogenoid constitution. Here is a case to understand this remedy in one more arena. Dr.(Mrs).U.V, 53 years, came with severe headache, sensation as if fluid is moving about inside the head. The complaints started after her daughter's marriage became a failure. To soothen her mental agony she tried meditation but while meditating her headache became worse. This contradiction made me to think about IGNATIA. Being herself a homoeopathy physician, sharply she said that Ignatia did not help her in any potency.         

        When I referred to Kent's repertory in "HEAD--PAIN in general, vertex, meditating while" LYSSIN is given as a single medicine. Few doses of Lyssin200 reduced her headache much. Later Lyssin 1M established total comfort to her.

       The patient was very fearful and sleepless which resulted in heaviness of the head. He lost his job four years back and had financial problems too. His daughter married against his wish and since then he was very disturbed. He was very irritable and when getting angry, he used to grind his teeth. He had fear of becoming insane and even suicidal tendencies.

       He had water brash and used to constantly spit and the saliva was tough and frothy. He had increased frequency of micturation with burning urination.

       He had been to a psychiatrist earlier, took Allopathic treatment and yet complaints were the same. A dose of Lyssin 30 was prescribed daily for 2 weeks. The patient was much better. His sleep pattern improved; his phobia and anxiety reduced. He also tried and got a new job. His complaints of headache, water brash and increased frequency of micturition improved. Then Lyssin 30 was administered, 1 dose, once in 3 days for a month. He reported improvement in all complaints & was given placebo for a month.

I treated a child aged two years who was crying with difficulty in breathing. He had severe paroxysms of cough with rattling of mucus. The child was very restless. He refused to take milk for which everyone was worried. The ailments had started after dancing and laughing in a picnic.

    The cough looked as if child was barking like a dog, which struck to my mind the wonderful remedy Lyssin.  I gave him a dose of Lyssin 200. Immediately the trouble subsided and child went to sleep. This was my first experience in treating such a horrible barking cough, which was a surprise to everybody. There was no history of dog bite.

     The patient gave a definite history of having  bitten by his pet dog several times during his younger days, though the dog remained healthy throughout. The patient developed the symptoms of headache after more than 10 years and used to take painkillers during each episode, which was very severe in nature. Apart from the past history other particular

    symptoms given that the person developed definite fear of dogs. Later and also aggravated from the heat of sun or during summer and triggered by bright light or reflected light. The patient was given  repeated  doses of Lyssin at varying intervals and the attacks of headache were considerably reduced. This experience  guided me to find out in most of the patients if there was any history of dog bite any time before, an intercurrent usage of this remedy greatly helped to succeed in many chronic cases.
