Nux Vomica in Migraine
 

      A female aged 29 years complained migraine since six years was treated with Nux Vomica successfully. Six years back she fainted while seeing her uncle's death body in a road accident. There after she developed fear-seeing blood. When her children sustained injuries she seeks others help and her heart palpitates with great anxiety when hearing any news about accident. The causative modality falls under Nux Vomica and Staphysagria. Her irritability and her expression ruled out Staphysagria .The reportorial totality also ranked Nux Vomica . The potencies 1M, then 10M after a period of three months cured the case.

    A girl aged 18 years, tall and thin presented with severe headache. The throbbing headache diagnosed as migraine < sun exposure and persisted through out the day. She had nausea and vomiting after the episodic pain. I prescribed Natrum Mur 200 O.D daily for two weeks . For further follow up she told me " No headache!" She is cheerful.

Usnea Barbata in Migraine
 

     I have used frequently Gelsemium in Hypertension with Migraine and Usnea Barbata in congestive headache. Mother tincture gives good result. It had given good result than Belladona and Glonine. I have also used in few cases Iris versicolar in Migraine usually associated with blurring vision . The other remedies like Sangunaria , Spigelia also proved beneficial in many cases.
