The state Health Minister KKSSR Ramachandran, Speaking at the foundation
stone-laying ceremony of Rs 1.5-crore buildings and inauguration
of Laboratories at the Government Homeopathy Medical College, Tirumangalam
assured that Steps would be taken to appoint homeopathy doctors
in Government Hospitals, A proposal to appoint homoeopathy doctors
in Government Hospitals would be considered while the examination
to appoint medical practitioners is being conducted" "People are slowly learning about the positive aspects of homeopathy, he said and added that awareness should be created among the people about homeopathy medicine. More doctors should involve themselves in research in homeopathy to create awareness about this branch" he added. He also emphasized publication of documentary evidence on various illness. The state Adi Dravidar Welfare Minister A Tamilarasi lighted the "Kuthuvilhaku". Dr.R.Vijayakumar, the special commissioner to Indians systems of Homoeopathy, T.Udayachandran, the District Collector and P.Moorthy MLA, also participated in this function. |

a seminar at Hotel Regency. Dr.Ramasamy, Medical officer inaugurated
the seminar. Dr.S.Santhana Pandian, former principal, Government
Homoeopathy Medical College spoke on "Heart Disease"
and Dr.R.Gnanasambandam presented a audio visual presentation
on "Miasms and its clinical utility" in the forenoon
session.

PITHAPURAM. JULY.13. Free Homoeopathic Medical Camp was organized by Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust for the Chikhun Gunya. A team of doctors Dr. Ananda Kumar Pingali, Dr R. Ammaji, D.H.M.S, P Dr L. Srinivasa Rao, B.H.M.S, and Dr. B. Jaganmohan Rao, treated 2348 Chikungunya and other pyrexia of unknown origin cases. The team offered medicines as prophylatic to ChikunGunya for 12995 persons. 15343 people have benefited from this camp.The remedies indicated for treatment and prophylaxis are Eupatorium Perf, Rhus Tox, Bryonia, Ars Alb, and Gelsemium. CHENNAI. JULY.21.The out burst
of Chikungunya fever in southern states had gripped the lives with
tension in the southern states of India. The residents of Andra
pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are panicked on the epidemic out
burst caused buy the Alpha Virus, contributed by the Vector the
Aedes aegypti. Homoeopathy has found to be effective in the treatment and preventive against Chikungunya cases. Many leading Homoeopaths had shared their succesful treatment with the remedies" Eupatorioum Perfoliatum" and "Rhus Tox". Eupatorium perfolitum is widely indicated for the bone pains and Rhus tox suits the patients with Poly Arthritis and Maculo papulo rashes . Some physicians had expressed that Gelesmium and Pyrogen for severe intensity . Andra Pradesh Health Minister K. Rosaiah and Principal Secretary, Medical and Health, I.V. Subba Rao said at a press conference here on Saturday that 52,000 fever cases were reported at Government hospitals in the State since January this year. He said chikungunya did not have a treatment procedure different from that for normal fevers. The only method of treatment available was administration of paracetamol and antibiotics. An alternative drug available in homoeopathy was “Eupatorium"drug of which 1.5 lakh doses had been distributed by CPI activists. |
Mass distribution of homoeopathy medicines such as Belladonna and Eupatorium-200 is a major component of the action plan. The Government found that incidence of malaria had come down by one-third in the State due to a variety of measures implemented in the past few years, including distribution of Eupatorium-200. Similar effect was noticed with respect to Japanese Encephalitis for which Belladonna was used.
In a press conference after Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy reviewed the situation, Principal Secretary, Health, I.V. Subba Rao said Eupatorium-200 was being distributed at 2,000 centres to cover 20 lakh people with the help of 500 organisations, NGOs, banks, schools, temple trusts and political parties such as Telugu Desam and CPI. Steps were taken to keep pigs away from habitations.
Karnataka
Many non-governmental organizations distributed Homoeopathic Medicines to the Chickunkunya Cases successfully. Dr.Veeramhasary, president, The Karnataka Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine called over a meeting among eminent physicians and the team announced "Rhus Tox 200 and Pyrogen 200" are the "Genus Epidemicus " for Chikunganya cases. Many leading physicians had reported that Homoeopathic Medicines had been very successful in Chickungunya cases.
Tamil Nadu
The worst hit area is Dharmapuri and Salem, The popularity in prevention and treatment with Homoeopathic medicines has reached the public to buy the specific medicines" Eupatoriom " and Rhust Tox in many Medical shops. Dr.Sekhar, Medical officer, Government Dispensary said “We had distributed Medicines for more than 4,000 persons as preventive prescription. We also conducted a free medical Camp in association with voluntary health organizations. Many had responded quickly”.
Dr.Sasikumar, Dr. Muthuramalingam, Dr.Asokan also reported to homoeo times. Every time the epidemic outburst from ancient time Homoeopathy had proved its efficacy, Now we are seeing the wonderful curative power.
