Public Awareness Program for Chronic Diseases

     CHENNAI.FEB.11: AKP Homoeopathic Clinical Research Center in association with Lions Club Vadapalani hosted a Public Awareness Program on Homoeopathy at Kalaivanar Arrangam, Chennai in conjunction with Homoeo Times monthly Journal. The Chief Electoral Officer Naresh Gupta inaugurated the special awareness program for chronic diseases.
Dr.I.Swarnamariammal, Joint Director, Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy presided over the function. Mr.K.Devarajan, Joint Director, Directorate of School Education and S.R.Rajendran, Deputy Planner CMDA also spoke on the occasion. Lion Balakrishnan, the charter president Vadapalani Lions club, participating in the inagural ceremony told they would extent their service.
Dr.R.Gnanasambandam presented his speech on Hair and its associated problems Hirsutism, PCOD, Thyroid Disorders and Hypogonadism. Dr.P.Mukundan spoke on Allergy in relation with respiration and skin. He illustrated various disorders with slides on eczema, psoriasis, warts and acne vulgaris. Dr.P.V.Venkataraman presented an attractive speech on arthritis and neurological problems; Dr.M.Saraswathy presented on woman’s illness. Fibroadenosis, fibroids and mentrual irregularities were discussed This public awareness program was registered by 470 and 650 delegates attended. Free medical coupons and books were distributed.
Mrs Senthil Vadivu welcomed the gathering and Dr. Anuradha proposed vote of thanks. Excellent master of ceremony was performed by Dr.Monolisa. Mr Madavaraj, former Deputy commissioner of police distributed mementos to them.


 
Maharashtra Homoeopathic Council Reconstituted after 15 years

     MUMBAI.FEB.14:he he Maharashtra Homoeopathic Council reconstituted again after fifteen years with its newly elected members and nominated member by the Government. Dr.G.P.Titar, Deputy Director of Homoeopathy Maharastra state, conveyed the meeting.

Dr. Priya Mahindre was unanimously elected as President and Dr. Ajit Funde as Vice – President.
Members of the Council Dr. D.K. Patil, Dr.Manish Patil, Dr. Bahubali Shah, Dr. Indulkar, Dr. Bachav, Dr. Zadpe, Dr. R.S. Patil and Dr. N.S. Kachpure were present on this occasion. Dr. Arun Bhasme alongwith Dr. V.R. Kavishwar, Dr. S.M. Desarda, Dr. K.O. Malokar, Dr.P.M. Dixit, Dr. Vikram Kale and Dr. Bahusahem Tambe Congratulated the President and Vice- President. Shri. D.G. CME for abroad students
 
 

    CHENNAI.JAN.22:Students from U K, Ireland, USA, Philippines and Canada visited Venkateswara Homoeopathy Medical College and Hospital at Chennai City. They shared Clinical materials with the Indian students interestingly. Dr.A.U.Ramakrishnan, world’s renowned physician presented a lecture to the students and discussed few cases.
The teaching faculty and internees also joined with the foreign students and shared their experience.


 
Homoeopathic Hospital at Chennai

CHENNAI.JAN.29:Tamil Nadu gets a private Homoeopathic Hospital “Sugam Homoeopathic Multi specialty Hospital News” at Chennai. Dr.Kumaraesam and his associate had established this Center for treatment, Research and Education. Dr.Shakil Ahamed,Special Officer Ministry of External affaires inaugurated the hospital.Dr.Anbu Paul lighted the lamp. Mrs Qudsia Gandhi, Commissioner of Tresureries and accounts, Goverrnment of Tamil Nadu inaugurated the pharmacy. Dr.M.K.Jawahar , Dr.G.P.Hahnemann, Dr.Thamaraiselvan, Dr.R.Gnanasambandam inaugurated various Departments. Dr.Aswin kumar proposed vote of thanks.

“Homoeo Bhavan” for KBHSM
BANGALORE.JAN.21:  The Karnataka Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine has organized a free Continued Medical Education Program on Respiratory Disorders for Registered Homoeopathic Doctors at Dhanvantri Hall of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Jayanagar 4th ‘T’ Block, Bangalore .
Dr. M.R.Srivatsan, Executive Member, Central Council of Homoeopathy welcomed the gathering. Health and family welfare Minister Shri.R.Ashok, inaugurated the program. Dr.Veerabramhachary, President, Karnataka Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine addressing the gathering requested the government to open Homoeopathic Hospitals and dispensaries. He pleaded the government to provide land for the construction of “Homoeo Bhavan” as decided by the Board. Answering to the plea the Health Minister assured to provide the land and initiate steps for allotment in terms with BDA and also assured to open hospitals and dispensaries in the state.
Dr. B.T. Rudresh, President, Homoeopathic Medical Association of India, Karnataka State Branch, Dr.B.N.Prakash, Director, Indian System of Medicine and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) also spoke on the occasion. Dr.R. Shantha Kumari, Deputy Director (Hom), Indian System of Medicine and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), and Dr.A.S. Narayan, Dr.Shastrimath, Dr.S.N.Hiremath, Dr.Zakarias J Abraham, Sri.Sharif members of the Board also participated this clinical meet.

A Clinical Workshop at Kolkata
  
      KOLKATA:  A clinical workshop was organized by Dr.Bholanath Chakravarthy Memorial Academy (Kolkata) at its Swami Vivekananda hall. Swami Chitrupanandaji Maharaj of Ramkrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark, Kolkata, a renowned personality in the spiritual field and well-wisher of Homoeopathy has inaugurated the workshop. Prof.Dibyendu Biswas, Calcutta University participated as guest.
Dr.S.P.Dey , Dr.D.K.Roy,Dr.Ashis Dutta presented their speech in the scientific session.
    Dr.Rathin Chakravarty physician to his Excellency the Governor of West Bengal also lectured in the session. The workshop was attended by forty professionals.

 
Colleges lack infrastructure facilities
     Parliamentary panel report sates that 142 colleges of Ayurveda, Unani and Homoeopathy colleges in the country lack minimum infrastructure.A report prepared by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) found that this include 35 newly established colleges. “A test check of records of 142 colleges — Ayurveda (58), Unani (14) and Homoeopathy (70) colleges, including 35 new colleges

 
Drug Act for Homoeopathy
     KARACHI: Member immediate implementation of Drug Act for Homoeopathy and enforcement of related laws in all the four provinces, Pakistan. He recommended to the ministry that manufacturing and sale of homoeopathic and any other non-allopathic medicines must be carried out under controlled terms and conditions
