World Homeopathy Awareness Week (WHAW)

In Memory of the 255th Anniversary of the Birth of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, homeopaths and homeopathy supporters from around the globe celebrate World Homeopathy Awareness Week (WHAW).  Starting this week, events will take place in more then 45 countries around the world including Belgium, Czech Republic, Ireland, Norway, Spain, and Australia.

The theme for 2010 is Homeopathy and mental well-being. Many of the resources offered will be directed toward mental health and wellness. The Committee for the Advancement of Scientific Skepticism (CASS) will be mustering its scientific advisory ranks to answer unsubstantiated claims made by the Homeopathic community.

The modern scientific method has shown that homeopathy can not and does not work. WHAW will be proposing a lot of ideas that contradict modern medical knowledge. CASS is available to comment on the evidence for such claims.

CASS is a committee of the Centre for Inquiry which responds to scientific, technological and medical claims made in public discourse to promote evidence-based science.
