A female patient aged 29 yrs
consulted for headache with giddiness since three years. Her palms
prespired with chillness during the episodes. Her blood pressure
was 90/70 mm of Hg. I prescribed Gelsemium 6C, then 30 C, then
she showed improvement stage by stage. Now she is free from complaints.

Gelsemium is
a great flu remedy and it can be used as a preventive medicine.
The main characteristic clinical features are dullness, dizziness,
drowsiness. When “3D” is the main features and
trembling associated we can prescribe the drug with great
expectations. I have observed in few cases that chill runs
up and down the spine with a feeling of great weight and tiredness
of the entire body and limbs. |

Gelsemium is a valuable
remedy in dysmenorrhoea .We studied under a project work at A.
M. Shaikh Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Belgaum,
in which 78 cases under treatment, out of which 15 cases are treated
by this remedy based on symptom similarity and psychosomatic factors.
In this study Gelsemium stands as an effective remedy for Dysmenorrhoea.
And there is no recurrence of symptoms.
