CHENNAI.OCT.23: Directorate of Indian System of Medicine in Tamil Nadu organized a brainstorming seminar on mainstreaming AYUSH at Centenary hall, University of Madras.Hon'ble M R K Paneerselvam, the Minister of Health and Family welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu inaugurated the seminar and release the Homoeopathy Medicines and Siddha Medicines for swine flu.

      Dr.Thiyagarajan, Joint Director welcomed the gathering. Thiru.G .A .Rajkumar, Principal Secretary and Director, Department of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Government of Tamil Nadu delivered presidential address. Thiru V K Subburaj, Principal secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare , , Tmt Anita Das, Former Secretary AYUSH, Government of India ,S K Panda, joint secretary, Dept of AYUSH, Government of India Tmt.Girija Vaidyanathan, Project Director- NRHM, also spoke on the occasion.

      The scientific sessions started after the inauguration. Ayurvedic,Siddha, Unani, Yoga physicians participated the scientific sessions. Dr.K.King , Advisor-Homoeopathy, Government of Tamil Nadu, Dr.P.V.Venkatraman, Dr.Joice Thilagam, Dr.Sugumar, Dy.Mohamed Aleem were the speakers to the occasion. Dr.V.N.Rufus, Dr.F.A.Raja, Dr.Sethumani co-chaired the session representing homoeopathic system
Students from Siddha, Ayurveda, Unanani, Yoga and Homoeopathy Medical colleges , Medical officers, Physicians about 3500 participated as delegates .
