Rasipuram,Sep.13:
Dr.Hahnemann Homoeopathic Medical College, Rasipuram organized
a Continued Medical Education Program at “Expresso Arena”
Auditorium. Dr.N.Subramanian chaired the occasion. The program started
with prayer by Ms Nithya,Janaki and Lavanya .Mrs Karthika welcomed the
gathering. Dr.V.R.Naidu gave an introduction speech.
Dr.R.Gnanasambandampresented a guest lecture with Audio Visual aids on
“Hahnemman… Virtual Tour “and “Spirit of Homoeopathy
in Thyroid Disorder”.Dr.V.Kannan presented a Momento memonet to
the specker and Ms K. Padmajothi proposed vote of thanks. Dr.Victor dass,
Joint secretary of TNHA Head Quarters, Dr.Senthil Kumaran, Secretary of
TNHA Erode Chapter and Dr.Sasikumar also participated. V.Charuvahan organised
the whole program. |

ERODE, SEP.12: Tamil Nadu Homoeopathic
Association,Erode Chapter organised a clinical meeting at “Padmam
Hall” Dr.T.Semparuti presented a case “Facial Dermatitis”
and also presented some cured cases. Dr.C.Anbu Durai spoke on “GIT
Disorders” Dr. P.V.Venkataraman, President TNHA Head quarters, Guest
of Honour to the occasion spoken on General Practise. Dr.Su.Chanthiran,
president of Namakal TNHA and Dr. Rajamanikam, Dr.A.Victor Dass Joint
Secretary of TNHA Head Quarters, vice principal of Vinayaka Missions Homoeopathy
Medical College also participated this occasion.
Dr.S.Jawakar, President of the Chapter welcomed the gathering
and Dr.K.Senthil Kumaran proposed vote of thanks. |

COIMBATORE, SEP, 11: A free Medical camp
was organised by R.V.S Homoeopathic Medical college. This special camp was
organized to celebrate their chairman’s birthday at Sulur. The chairman
of RVS groups Dr.R.V.Kuppusamy and devotees honoured and inaugurated this
special camp. Mrs.Newman,Secretary Dr.Tamarai Selvan and Dr. Thomas Antony
Samy were also present in the inaugural session.
A team headed by Dr.G.Pandian, Principal of the college treated 380 patients
for various ailments |

| Africa regularises Homeopathy clinics |

| ACCRA
(G/R) SEPT. 11, GNA - Homeopathy Physicians Association of Ghana
in collaboration with the Ministry of Health have embarked on an inspection
visit to Homeopathic Hospitals and Clinics throughout the country. The
visit was to give the ministry and the Association first hand information
on the practices of Homeopathy and to help flush out quack practitioners.
It would also enable the accredited practitioners to be updated with government
policies on alternative medical practices in the country.
Dr. Alex Essuman, the General Secretary
of the Association, who announced this at the weekend in Accra, said Homeopathy
was a medical treatment based on the theory that certain disease could
be cured by giving very small doses of drugs which in a healthy person
would produce symptoms like those of the disease opposed to allopathy.
He said the Association had noted with concern the misapplication of homeopathic
drugs and combination of allopathic with herbal drugs by some practitioners
suspected to be quack. |

| AMRAVATI, AUG.28: “United
efforts are necessary to fight against AIDS” Dr.Ishwar Prasad Gilada,
Secretary of AIDS Society of India, said inaugurating the special free
medical camp organized by the Takhatmal Shrivallabh Homoeo pathic Medical
college. Mr. Mr.S.D. Tawari,Secretary of Mohini Homoeo & charitable
society insisted on the AIDS awareness. Dermatologist Dr.Zanwar was also
present on the occasion. Dr.Niraj Goyal, Principal, Chandaben Homoeopathy
Medical College, Mumbai spoke on “Homoeopathic approach to Skin
Diseases” and discussed emotions being the root cause of skin diseases.
This special camp headed vby Dr.Niraj Goyal and R.D.Tapadia treated 150
patients.
Dr.M.P. Nimbhorkar, the organizer of the camp delivered
the presidential speech. On this occasion, Vice Principal Dr. G. S. Sarada,
Dr.Anwar UI Haque, Dr.Kanchan Bagade, Dr.Anju Gupta, Dr. Chanda Nimbhorkar,
Dr. Ashok Makode, Dr. J.D. Pandharikar, Dr. Varsha Agarwal, Dr.Kathika
Banerjee, Dr. Sarang Joshi, Dr.Poonam Tirthani, Dr. Kapil Khokale, Dr.Preethi
Ganorkar, Dr. P. D. Tapadia, Dr. Rajesh zambani, Dr. Smita Kale, Mr. Arvind
Nimkar, Mr.Ambadas Parde and Dr. Prakash Itankar participated.

Archive and Collection of Various Books and Journals are
available at Dr.Koppikar Homoeo library. The library has the pride of
having the original copies of the oldest journals, Such as American homoeopathic
review, Hahnemanian, The organon, Medical advance and Homoeopathic Recorder
from the year 1863 onwards. It is one of the rarest and first of its kind
in Tamil Nadu. It houses a vast collection of hundreds of volumes of Journals
and thousands of books on various subjects to its members.
The books donated by the popular Homoeopaths Dr.S.P.Koppikar and Dr.N.S.Srinivasan.
Dr.Mrs. Mary Stella Louise, Dr.S. Md.Aleem, Dr.V.Muthu kumar, Dr.P.V.Venkatraman
and Late.Dr.P.Krishnan also contributed some books to this library.
The books are lended for the period of three weeks to the members of this
library. The library expects patronage from the well-wishers of homoeopathy
by their membership and contribution.

THE Dr G R Ekbote Committee, set up by the Maharashtra University of Health
Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, has invited suggestions from various constituents
of medical education in Maharashtra for changes in the MUHS Act of 1998.
