: Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy
Medical Council, a statutory body of Government of Tamil
Nadu awarded 40 students of Government Homoeopathic Medical
College. Diploma awarding Ceremony was held at Anna Institute
of Management. Dr.T.K.Mohandass, principal, Government Homoeopathy
Medical College presided over the function. Dr.Swarnamarriamal,
Joint Director, Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy who was
the chief guest of function awarded diplomas to the candidates.
Dr.R.Gnanasambandam, president of the council welcomed the
gathering. Mr.Saiprasad, Registrar, Dr.Chidambaranathan,
Chairman, Legal Committee offered felicitations. The students
presented a memento to the chairman, Board of Examinations,
Dr.G.P Hahnemann. Members Dr.Brindavan Kumar, Dr.N.V.Suganthan,
Dr.Baskaran Dr.Ramasubramaniam, Dr.Rajaram, Dr.Bharatkumar
were among those participants. Dr.P.V.Venkataraman, Member,
Drug standardization committee, CRRH also participated
Mr..Soudararajan, Assistant Registrar proposed vote of thanks.

TRIVANDRAM.
SEP.18. Indian Homoeopathic Medical Association (IHMA)
has extended its chapters in many states.Recently its has rooted
in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh. Dr.M.G.Oommen
, National president inaugurated the chapters. Dr.A.Kannan CEO,
Technical Committee also participated with him.
IHMA
had talk with Dr.P.S Ranu and appointed him as convenor to the
state. Dr.S.D.Sharma is the Convenor to the Uttar Pradesh state
and Dr.Himanshu Bhatt will be the Joint Convenor Dr.Suresh Punia
was unanimously elected as the convenor to Haryana state.

Medical College, Belgaum, celebrated founder’s day.
Dr.D.S.Khot inaugurated the function. Mr. Abu Shaik, chairman
of the college addressed the gathering.
The scientific session on Mental disease and Homoeopathy
by Dr.Shreepad Hegde, Professor, Govt Homoeopathic Medical
College, followed after the inaugural session. All students
and faculty attended and discussed on the management of
mental cases.

Conference on the Epidemics |
NEW ZEALAND .SEP 2. New Zealand Council
of Homoeopaths organized a International Homeopathic Conference
held at Christchurch New Zealand.
The theme covered the topics on AIDS, SARS, bird flu, cancer,
diabetes, Alzheimer’s Disease and Autism. The speakers
presented lectures on conditions such as thyroid disorder,
ADHD, cancer, ovarian cyst and fibroid. 120 doctors attended
the conference. Dr Dr.Sharad Shangloo represented India
and presented a papers on “Uterine Fibroid and Ovarian
Cyst” and “Terminal stage of Cancer”. |

An Indian American practitioner of homeopathy in California has
been found guilty of practicing medicine without a licence.Reena
Chopra of Hayward, Alameda County, was remanded to custody for
illegally running the practice.

regulates Homoeopathy Medicines |
The
Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has introduced
a new regulatory scheme for homeopathic medicines, which allows labels
to indicate that a product may relieve certain symptoms, such as coughs,
colds and hay fever. |

Medicos
threaten agitation |
The Indian Medical Association (IMA) and the Delhi Medical
Association (DMA) have threatened to launch a nationwide agitation
in case the Delhi Government does not withdraw parts of the recent
notification pertaining to setting up of private clinics.as it
would lead to closure of allopathic, dental, physiotherapy, ayurveda,
homoeopathy and other allied systems of medicine. |

tackles Chikgunya |
CHENNAI.SEP.20: The epidemic
outburst of Chikungunya Fever is efficiently tackled with Homoeopathy
in southern states of India. Many social welfare organizations,
Voluntary health organizations started distributing Homoeopathic
Medicines for preventive and treatment. Doctors emphasize that
“Eupatorium 200”, the Genus epidemicus effectively
used for prevention and the drugs”Rhus tox” and “Bryonia”
benefited many patients to counteract the post pyrexial effects.
The Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council also insisted the government
to provide more facilities in fund allocation and open temporary
dispensaries to counteract the situation.

Tamil Nadu Homoeopathic
Association chapters, Salem, Erode and Coimbatore districts
conducted free medical camps in association with volunteers
and reported effective in prophylaxis and treatment too. TNHA-Erode
chapter conducted 6 camps in which it treated 4650 patients.
The coimbatore chapter issued preventive medicines to 14,000
people in 12 free medical camps. The Similia Health Academy
organized camps in association with Ramco social welfare service
in around Madurai city and reported that1577 patients were benifitted.

Trust, Andrapradesh reported that 18 camps have been conducted
in which preventive medicines were given to around 50,000-population
and treated 24,000 patients. Dr. Ananda Kumar Pingali, the team

The Vadodara Municipal
Corporation (VMC) in association with other government doctors
and NGOs, had pitched in to organise health camps in the city.‘‘We
have held 100 camps in a month. In these, 50,000 have been administered
homoeopathic medicine, says Dr Dilip Asari, VMC chief health
officer Doctors at the Government Homeopathic Medical College
in Kozhikode have claimed that homeopathy offers a cure for
Chikungunya. Principal Abdul Rehman said in a release that several
medicines like Eupatorium Rhus tox and Bryonia could effectively
tackle chikungunya.
Chikungunya outbreak
is feared in Kerala state also. The Federation of Residents’
Associations Thiruvananthapuram (FRAT) organised in association
with the Government Homoeo Medical College, Iranimuttom.
Principal of the HKE
Society Homoeopathy Medical College Dr P Sampat Rao has said
homoeopathic medicine is capable of providing effective treatment.
He urged voluntary organisations and NGOs to evince interest
in conducting free homoeopathy camps for Chikungunya.

providing in house treatment and also conducted several free
medical camps.

on Chikungunya
JEYPORE.SEP.9: The Homoeopathic Assiciation
of India Koraput Unit organized a scientific seminar on
“Chikungunya Epidemic. Dr.E.Panigrahi, former A.D.M.O
and President of the Association presided over the seminar.Dr.R.N.Mahapatra
was the Guest of honour.Dr.J,R.Patnaik participated the
scientific session and spoke on the epidemiology, Symptoms
and treatment aspects to prevent and treat the recent
out break of Chkungunya . He suggested Sabadilla, Staphysagria
may be used as Homoeopathic repellants besides the regular
remedies. Dr.H.C.Ghosh proposed a vote of thanks.
